I don't have any art of the week this week. I suppose I could go look up something, but I don't feel like writing a review right now. I've been working on my journals (which is more important to me at this point :P )!!

a real entry

I've gotten so bad at blogging. I should be working on a custom order for a journal right now, but I feel more guilty about this ... and I can type really fast. Connecticut is great! Unfortunately it's been raining almost every day so that sucks - where are you summer?

I just finished reading The Life of Pi last night. It was good. I wouldn't say great. The ending made the entire book. It was a good story, but I wouldn't totally agree with all the raving on the back cover. A fast read though so I recommend it if you want some light adventure.

I've been to 3 states in the last 2 weeks. Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. CT is small.

Mattel is coming out with an Edward and Bella Barbie (obviously separate Barbies). So awesome! Haha. And Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is going to be a feast for the eyes - and hopefully for the soul as past TB movies have been. I can't wait to see the trailer.

Okay, feeling less guilty. Time to work on the journal - it's going to be embroidered - cool!

This is going to be a short entry. I like this body of work because I have been working on ink drawings myself and the colors and how they blend together helped inspire me when I was making my neighbors' painting over the past weekend. graduation

I may or may not write a lot of entries in the next week because I'm moving to Connecticut for the next 2 months on Wednesday!  I'm really excited.  Don't worry, art of the week and playlist of the week will still be posted.  

I've been in a card making mode of late (besides finishing a 48 x 60 in. painting for my neighbors on Monday) because my brother is graduating from high school and I made him a pretty sweet card.  He's going to Miami University in the fall so I incorporated their motto into a vintage bike poster:
